We know you appreciate the art of craft beer and the perks of getting it local. We've teamed up with the Arts Council of Williamson County to merge your local thinking with your appreciation of fine art.
On Friday August 16 from 5-9 p.m., we'll feature Geometrical Designz by local artist Dana Reynolds at our taproom. She'll have her work on display and for sale.
We'll have some finger foods for you to munch on as you sip your local brew and admire Dana's art.
A little about Dana Reynolds:
Dana started her designs when she was about fifteen in Middletown, New York, where she grew up. She began doodling lines and shapes on the edges of her papers during school in order to remember the speech or lecture. It was a way of association for her memory. These simple pencil sketches that became a source of peace during many difficult times of her life became larger, more complex and colorful reflections of her experiences.
She works with various foundations and
media to obtain a combination that creates texture and color that complement
the pattern. A piece begins with
multiple pencil sketches before it comes alive and begins to dictate to her the
appropriate color combination.
This may take as little as a week or as long as months before the work
is completed.
The first public display of her work was
at the Williamson County Public Library, “Grid Row”, Columbia Arts in the Park,
Art Under the Mistletoe 2012. She was a Featured Artist for Bob Parks Realty during the Downtown Franklin Art
Crawl January 2013.
She has been a member of Arts Council of Williamson County since 2012.
